Healthy Hollywood: Wellness Wednesday Biggest Loser Olivia Wards Winning Life Secrets!

By Terri MacLeodNEW YORK., N.Y. -- Olivia Ward shed a remarkable 129 pounds to become Biggest Losers Season 11 champ. Now, some three months after stepping on the scale to victory, Olivia has kept the weight off and looks sensational. She and her Biggest Loser teammate/sister, Hannah, flaunted their toned bodies on the cover of Septembers Fitness Magazine. Now my health is the priority. Exercising is my me-time, and Ive learned that thats not selfish at all, reveals Olivia to Fitness Magazine. Olivia tries to work out 90 minutes a day, six days a week. Her favorite exercise is spinning, but shes also got her eye on her next big fitness goal. To do a sprint triathlon and start training for a half-marathon. My husband loves to run, and Id like to do races with him. Poor diet and no exercise were the main reasons behind Olivias past weight gain. Instead of deprivation diets, Olivia reveals to Fitness shes learned to eat healthy. I used to get bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and think that it was just a bagel. But in reality it was more than an entire days worth of calories. By lunchtime Id be starving because I wasnt getting enough nutrients from that kind of food. Now I love an egg white omelet made with vegetables, like asparagus and mushrooms, left over from the previous nights dinner. I pair it with a Fage Total 0% Greek yogurt with some berries and stevia. You can eat healthy and still love what youre putting in your mouth. Besides taking on a healthier way to eat and exercise, Olivia has also learned to be kind to herself and cherish the small steps to lifes goals. I learned from Jillian the power of setting small, manageable goals. When things get tough during a Spinning class, I think, just get through this song and youll be okay. Believing that you can do something will actually make you do it. You go, girl! For more of Olivias winning secrets, head to www.fitnessmagazine.com. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc.
