Watch Jennifer Lopez Recycle the Love Concoction No. 9 Plot in her own New 'Papi' Music Video
Apart from supplying a cautionary tale about why you need to never develop a feature-length movie around a doo-wop song, there's never been any use for Sandra Bullock’s 1992 flop Love Concoction No. 9. Until today — because its plot has apparently inspired Jennifer Lopez’s first publish-break-up music video “Papi.” Tate Donovan, this may be the popular culture relevance you’ve been awaiting. Only rather than downing an appreciation concoction from the lonely biochemist like Sandra Bullock’s character does within the movie, J. Lo eats a heart-formed cookie baked with a knowing Jamaican lady who collects the mail in J. Lo’s character’s apartment building. (Because J. Lo “the character” is relatable and lives inside a walk-up building unlike J. Lo the entrepreneur who joined with Rim and Fiat with this video.) The following day, males everywhere become enthusiastic about J. Lo and are available in choreographed public. They chase after her ride, they punch one another out, they steal hybrid dogs to win her affection, they Switch CARS OVER In The Center Of The Road, they set things burning, they leap over city buses on motorcycles, they crash armored automobiles into water hydrants…they daintily lift her through her sun roof and put her in the pub so she will lead these questions expensive mob? Okay, a minimum of there's a story — even when it's corny and inspired with a s movie — that is a lot more than Shia LaBeouf and Marilyn Manson know regarding their nightmare-inducing video for “Born Villain.”
