My friend told me about an episode of family feud where the host asks
a family for a fruit that start's with the letter 'A' and the father
of the family says "Arange" LOL i've been trying to find it online but
can't find it anywhere, i think the host was richard dawson if that
helps.. 10 points for whoever can find it! :D
Racist urban legend. It never happened, and there is no video of it.
ReplyDeleteThe 'joke' is that Black people (from the Caribbean) are so stupid, that they spell things according to how our accent sounds. Either it was an inside joke that a Caribbean comedian made, or it was made by a racist non-Black person.
Either way, the fact that it has sustained for so long with NO proof shows how willing people are to believe it as fact!
It 100% happened. I watched it as well as others. The funniest episode. Can't believe it's hard to find. Please don't bring race into this as it's not needed. All races have made mistakes on this show.
Deletegrrr I love how people who've never seen it say its an urban legend when sooo many people have actually seen it. Its clearly been removed from the internet so that the show doesn't get sued. Anyways, I saw it years ago, never laughed so hard. I'm determined to find it more then ever.
ReplyDeleteSo your contention is that the Family Feud show removed this episode for fear of being sued (sued by whom??), yet allows all other embarrassing episodes to stay online and they aren't afraid of being sued for those??
DeleteUntil anyone offers concrete proof otherwise, I'm calling you all to have allegedly seen this episode LIARS!!
Oh, and it was hosted by Ray Coombs at the time.
ReplyDeleteThe proof is in the pudding.
ReplyDeleteSo show me the pudding.
it was a joke started in Toronto. And it’s not racist, take a chill pill. If someone jokes that I spell “about” as “aboot”. Because I’m a white Canadian, I’m certainly not going to pull out the race card. This episode never happened, and was passed around shared on the radio, all in the GTA.
ReplyDeleteIt's a real episode. I watched it. It's not a myth.
DeleteDid anyone ever find this video????
